Beliefs

We believe that God is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1-2). He is eternal – He has always been and always will be. He is love and mercy but He is also the just judge who alone is worthy of our praise.

We believe that Jesus is God made flesh (John 1:14), the second Person of the Trinity. He made the decision to die on the cross in our place that we might receive the forgiveness of our sins (I Peter 2:24).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He takes up residence within the child of God and equips us with gifts for service and ministry (I Corinthians 12, Romans 12).

We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). Because of this, we all stand in need of a Savior – the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6) and no one can come to God the Father except through Him.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God (II Timothy 3:16-17). It is our guide in all matter of faith and the practice of our faith.

We believe the church is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23). As such, we are to carry out the mission of Jesus, both locally and globally.

We believe in baptism by immersion upon a confession of faith (Acts 8:26ff). We teach baptism is the first act of obedience following the decision to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is an important part of our worship celebration. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly (Acts 20:7), and invite all those who have accepted Jesus as Lord to join with us.
